The Purpose of  Dynamos;

  1. To provide  any boy or girl in school years 7&8 with  biblical insight and wisdom (delivered in a fun, varied and interactive way) on a wide range of issues, concerns and situations that these young people (will) face – and so to appreciate the relevance of the Christian faith to their lives.
  2. To provide a ‘homely’ atmosphere where Dynamos can feel relaxed and safe – and so help them to integrate with the wider Youth & Church activities on offer at Wycliffe
  3. To provide an opportunity for Dynamos who wish to further their spiritual formation and create their own Christian community.

 

Dynamo Domestics

  1. Every Sunday apart from ‘All Age’ services – see programme inside
  2. At the start of the service (including Communion) most Dynamos and DC’s sit together in the middle part of the balcony, before leaving.
  3. We meet in the Lower Back room – immediately behind the pulpit.
  4. We aim to finish at  12.10pm – when the kids will be free to leave.

 

Your Involvement ; We’d appreciate your support with;

  1. Please complete & return the consent forms. In particular we want your email address to keep you informed of activities.
  2. Although we’ll have fun, we also expect to teach. Dynamos’ who can’t keep quiet will be warned, then escorted back to the main service.
  3. Pray for the group – and some cakes would go down really well!!

Additional Dynamo Activities

 

Cell Group Hopefully a Cell Group for this age group will be starting during the Autumn. Keep an eye on the diary, the Youth Web site etc for more details
   
 

Socials – We hope to arrange a social (Laser Quest/ High Wires etc)  per term for the Dynamos –

  
 

Joint activities with DC’s and/or Anderson Baptist Church – last year we ran a number of joint events – at St Luke’s Church Hall – and if we repeat them, we’ll walk the kids over and back again in the usual time .

  Energize is supported by an interactive website which provides the Dynamos with tons of age appropriate information and biblical insight on loads of lifestyle issues.

 

For each of our sessions there is a follow up “Life2the max” section – just type in www.life2themax.net followed by the extension in the ‘Max’ column above.  This will enable all the Dynamos to keep up to date – even if they miss some sessions.
